Academics

The curriculum is thought to be the crux of schooling. It is an overarching term entailing all the experiences a student goes through in the school. Secondary education states: 'Curriculum does not mean only the academic subjects traditionally taught in the school, but it includes the totality of experiences that a pupil receives through manifold activities that go on in the school.' A student learns skills, develop attitudes and seek and acquire knowledge in the school availing all the opportunities extended by it. The Curriculum offered in the school is based on the contemporary thought of multiple-intelligence. The teaching-learning experience is best delivered by the institution employing a suitable curriculum systematically planned, and well- executed.

Evaluation

Faulty methods of evaluation in the past, based solely on scholastic abilities and rote learning have havocked many lives. Individual talents were sidelined. The ills of the past can be rectified only by the system of continuous and comprehensive evaluation. The school strictly follows the method.

Class tests are conducted monthly, terminally. The progress reportsd are sent home and is available on the site.

The Central Board of Secondary Education states in the Certificate of Evaluation:

Continuous and comprehensive evaluation is intended TO provide a holistic profile of the learner through assessment of both scholastic and non-scholastic aspects of education spread over the total span of instructional time of the school.

It helps to identify those positive attributes of the learner which are no ususlally assessed during the examinations conducted by the board.

As it is spread over a period of two years in class XI & X ( the school follows the system in all the classes) it provides several opportunities for the school to identify the latent talents of the learners in different contexts.
