Parent-Teacher Association

“Porukara College of Education Parent-Teacher Association” is functioning effectively in the College. The aim of PTA is to establish better rapport between parents and teachers as well as better understanding between teachers and students. The main objectives of the association are:

To promote healthy relations among the members of the Association:
To promote co-curricular and cultural activities of the college;
To improve the infrastructural facilities of the college;
To provide better educational amenities to the students;
To provide scholarships, text books, note books and other essentials to deserving students;
To introduce innovative and effective teacher training programmes; and
To perform any other function that the Association may deem fit.

The ordinary membership of PTA is open to all the parents/guardians of all the students admitted in the college, the Manager or his nominee, the Principal and to all the members of the faculty. Associate members shall be nominated by the Executive committee.
